For years I had wanted to see a super bloom at Carrizo Plains.  I would be somewhat close to the area, so I checked the wildflower bloom forecasts on-line.  Everything I read was positive, so off I went.

The news when I got there, was the blooms had just started and it would be spectacular in two weeks.  I thought it was pretty good then.  Not having found anything to do for a couple of weeks in the area, I enjoyed what I saw and moved on. 

And in my meandering around I saw the street sign below.  I country song in the making, such as: 

Meet me at the corner of Allison and Elkhorn 
Where nature sings 
And the sun is good…

As I drove away, I saw this outstanding view below.  Rocks and wildflowers together.  It can’t get better.
