After my failed attempt to see “the most beautiful spot in Idaho” I drove on looking for a home for the night. I could have stayed at my turn around spot, but I was looking for a better view. I was being picky. And I was also enjoying the view of the Little Lost River Valley. I chose the Summit Creek Campground for my home for the night. It was a nice campground, and I was lucky that there was an auto mechanic staying there.

My van had developed a terrible noise. My camping neighbor offered to look at my van and he thought the issue was dust on the brakes. He told me to apply the brakes hard a couple of times. If that didn’t work, I should drive to Idaho Falls. I dove into my frig offering him cold beer for his help. He only accepted one beer. As we continued to talk his thirst for beer grew and I was happy to give him more beer. I would have been happy if he took a twelve pack.
The next day I hit the brakes hard and the noise disappeared.
