It was a long day driving from Tooele, Utah to the Farewell Bend campground in Oregon. Four states in one day.  I pulled into the campground about a half hour before sunset.  The pictures below are a view of the winter camping area.  An area with more mature trees was closed for the season.

Not much else to write.  It was a good functional spot to spend the night.  I was back on the road early the next morning driving home.

The winter campground

Sunrise from the campground

Facts:

  • I saw no showers in the winter area restrooms.
  • The campground was about half full.  Seemed like people were either hunters or were driving through and had stopped at the campground for a place to sleep like me.
  • The state park campground is only a mile from the freeway making it a convenient stop.
  • I drove home the next day.  Time to start planning a new trip.
